You could be, too.
(San Francisco) - Business Insider’s Joe Weisenthal reported Jun 26, 2011:
“Newsflash: The radioactive crisis near Fukushima isn’t getting any better.
This has been something we discussed in the last few weeks, but now there are some new disturbing details.
From Japan Times:
More than 3 millisieverts of radiation has been measured in the urine of 15 Fukushima residents of the village of Iitate and the town of Kawamata, confirming internal radiation exposure, it (…)

THE AGE OF CATASTROPHE
5 June 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
JAZZMAN CHRONICLES. DISSEMINATE FREELY.
I grew up in a town about the size of Joplin, Missouri. I can imagine what it must have been like to be a child in the path of the storm. I can imagine the howling wind and the horror of twisted metal, trees lifted from the ground and buildings demolished, as half your world was wiped away in a matter of minutes.
It must have felt like the end of the world.
I can imagine what is must have been like for thousands across Alabama, Tennessee, (…) -
Never Kick a Sleeping Dragon

Bilbo Baggins may be the only person I ever met who got away with waking up a dragon. Of course he had that weird ring that made him invisible when he did it. I knew it would never fit me or I might have tried some slight of hand.
Unfortunately the sleeping dragon at Fukushima was awakened on March 11th and the Japanese were not in possession of the ring.
The Fukushima dragon did not present the world with "the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl" (as (…) -

Dr Scampa’s Lethal Doses Count Increases Dramatically
(San Francisco) – The world’s second big nuclear disaster occurred at Chernobyl Reactor No. 4 in the Ukraine on Apr 26, 1986. Simply tagged as “Chernobyl,” it is what the next big and well known nuke disaster, after the American Three Mile Island, on March 28, 1979 came to be called. “Chernobyl” ejected 30% of one 192-ton, three-month old reactor core. That’s 57.6 radioactive tons thrown into the air by fire and explosions.

Builders submit plans to dismantle Fukushima plant
19 April 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
The builders of the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant have submitted draft plans to dismantle the reactors over the medium to long term.
updated at 21:49 UTC, Apr. 18
Tokyo Electric Power Company, which operates the plant, issued a schedule on Sunday for putting the crisis under control in 6 to 9 months.
However, various issues remain over the medium term for completely decommissioning the crippled reactors.
Toshiba, which helped build the 2nd and 3rd reactors, has (…) -

For a total transparency on the airborne radioactivity we are currently breathing.
8 April 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
PETITION
For a total transparency on the airborne radioactivity we are currently breathing.
There are 60 certified radionuclide stations fully equipped with high precision detectors that are set up around the world to monitor airborne radioactivity on a daily basis with unprecedented accuracy.
Their objective : Find low quantities of radioactive particles that could reveal a possible nuclear test in violation of the Comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty (TICEN). Results of the analyses (…) -
Update No. 4: "Going to work today, Honey? In the Forbidden Zone?"
31 March 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
(San Francisco) - "Honey, are you going to work today in the Forbidden Zone?"
That is the question a family member or loved one will ask today of thousands of Tepco employees (Tokyo Electric Power Company.)
The Fukushima district of Northeastern Japan hosts at least two troubled reactor industrial parks. Each industrial park has six reactors for a total of 12 reactors employing thousands of people. The two reactor parks are a 10 km, or 6 miles, apart.
Four of the General Electric (…) -
German government looking to insure new quake-vulnerable Brazilian nuke
31 March 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
Despite Fukushima the German government intends to use tax funds to secure the construction of a Brazilian nuclear power station in the middle of an earthquake area.
The Campact online action organization (similar to our GetUP! Or Aaaz) is calling on people to protest against the imminent decision.
The support the German government is considering is in the form of 1.3 billion euros export insurance, that is if the deal goes sour, the German exporters to the project will be reimbursed (…) -
The Race for Space Solar Energy
23 March 2011 par (Open-Publishing)
The failures of the General Electric nuclear reactors in Japan to safely shut down during the 9.0 Tahoku earthquake, following in the wake of the catastrophic Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the deadly methane gas explosion in Massey’s West Virginia coal mine, conclusively demonstrate the grave dangers to human society posed by current energy production methods.
The radiation plume from melting reactor cores and the smoke of burning spent fuel rods threaten the lives (…)
